There are a host of manufacturers out there to choose from when shopping for a new vehicle, and unless you’ve been raised to believe a certain brand is the only one you’re supposed to shop for… then chances are you have no idea where to begin. Here on our website we’ve built a ton of pages dedicated to comparing our models against specific competitors, like pitting the 2018 Hyundai Accent against the 2018 Honda Fit. But if you don’t even know what brand to start with, how do those more specific pages help you? They don’t, at least not yet anyway. So, we thought we’d help on a bit of a broader scale by straight up comparing Hyundai vs Honda.
Honda certainly has the pedigree here in the North American market. They’ve been around for decades and decades, whereas Hyundai only recently made the jump to the United States. But there are quite a few areas that we think Hyundai has a leg up on Honda. For starters, where as having a pedigree like Honda can certainly be an advantage, so can being a young brand. A majority of the vehicles we sell are extremely new, having been introduced within the past decade.
Furthermore, one area that Hyundai definitely excels compared to Honda is with its Blue Link services. Honda offers HondaLink, but it doesn’t offer quite the same amount of extensive, advanced, convenient technologies. Plus, Blue Link is complimentary for the first three years of service. It doesn’t get much better than that.
So, Honda may have the brand recognition here in North America and a number of awards to its name, but Hyundai is gaining recognition and awards of its own, which you can see on our blog. The two brands are quite comparable to one another, so you can’t go wrong with either, but in our opinion, Hyundai is the obvious choice. Give us a call if you’re interested in learning more.
