With that in mind, we thought we’d dive into exactly what’s new in the 2018 G80. For starters, the updated version of the G80 will be available in three different trim levels available in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive regardless of trim. The base trim level is the 3.8L which offers an unmatched level of standard features and is available with both the Premium and Ultimate packages, the next step up is the 5.0L and, finally, for the luxury-sport-minded driver, the 3.3T Sport.

What's new in the 2018 G80?

In addition to the trim level changes, a number of other enhancements were made started right off the bat with a refreshed exterior design that includes both fascias, the headlights and the lower front grille as well as new design for the standard 18” wheels. On the inside, the design changes touched on the gauge cluster, the shifter, the premium speakers, and even the analog clock and rearview mirror. Throughout the interior, a modern aluminum trim pattern is now followed and drivers will be able to opt for two new genuine matte wood finishes – Paldao and Sapele.

But design wasn’t the only thing touched in the new Genesis G80. When it comes to connectivity, every G80 model will now feature standard Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility, as well as an additional USB charging port in the front. As for safety? Each G80 will offer Pedestrian Detection and Driver Attention Alert as standard technologies.
