2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vs 2018 Ford Edge

The Santa Fe Sport might not be as popular or well known as its bigger counterpart, but it’s still got the iconic DNA of the Santa Fe flowing through its veins. With that in mind, we thought we’d see how it measures up to one of its biggest competitors, to see if it can hold its own against big-name competitors. To do this, we’ve pit the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vs 2018 Ford Edge.

Advantages of the 2018 Santa Fe Sport

These two vehicles are extremely comparable to one another; however, the Ford Edge unfortunately manages to pull out a steady advantage. It starts in the very first row, which looks closely at horsepower. The Ford Edge delivers an extra 5 HP more than the Santa Fe Sport. But when you think about it, 5 HP would hardly be noticeable if you drove these vehicles back to back. Plus, that minute advantage is diminished even further when you consider the second row, which shows the Ford Edge weighs a pretty substantial 339 pounds more than the Santa Fe Sport. The third row highlights a similarity between the two crossover, as they each have enough space to haul five passengers on the road. But the fourth row unfortunately highlights another advantage for the Edge, as our Ford counterpart offers an extra 3.8 cu. ft. of space to fill with groceries, luggage, or whatever else you might need on the road with you. Despite these disadvantages in certain aspects, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has plenty to offer, from its sleek design to its host of great features, both standard and available, inside and out.
