For the 2019 model year, not every Hyundai model could be upgraded. Engineers only have time and resources to redesign or introduce a few models each year, and this year the 2019 Hyundai Accent in Cocoa FL was not one of them. That doesn’t make the 2019 Accent any less exciting than it was last year, however, which kicked off its fifth generation since its inception. The subcompact sedan makes a great option for any driver in the market for a small car.
The Accent was first introduced back in 1994 and has undergone four redesigns since then. In its sophomore year of the new fifth generation, we didn’t expect many changes. But we’ll highlight some of the sedans specs & features regardless.
Although the Accent was a carryover for the 2019 model year, there were a few small changes that we thought we’d highlight for you, most exterior design cues. Last year, the chrome grille, chrome beltline molding and fog lights were included on the Limited trim level only. This year, the grille comes standard on the SE trim level and the other two are included on SEL as well as Limited. Finally, LED headlights have been added to the Limited trim level, whereas they weren’t available last year.
Regardless of which of the three trim levels you opt for, the Accent is powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 130 horsepower tethered to a front-wheel drivetrain. The SE trim comes with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, but you can opt for the 6-speed automatic transmission, which itself comes standard in the other two trims. The Accent achieves 28 miles per gallon through the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
Hopefully this information helps you come to a decision on whether or not the 2019 Accent is the right model for you. If you think it is, be sure to get in touch with us right here at Cocoa Hyundai.
