As exciting as the performance specs for the 2020 Elantra GT and 2020 Corolla Hatchback are, both vehicles must be able to function as actual hatchbacks. Both vehicles can hold five passengers, but the Hyundai platform is able to make more cargo volume available. When people are sitting in the back seat of the 2020 Elantra GT, there will still be 24.9 cubic-feet of cargo volume. Owners of the 2020 Corolla Hatchback will have fewer than 18 cubic-feet when it’s transporting rear passengers. Should the need arise, owners of the 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT can fold the rear seat down to make more than 55 cubic-feet available, with the Corolla Hatchback topping out at 23.3 cubic-feet.

Hyundai has really made the effort to equip the trim ladder of the 2020 Elantra GT with the latest connectivity technology. Most versions of the 2020 Corolla Hatchback also offer a similar set of capabilities.

There are two engine options available with the 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT. The base GT trim is equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be attached to continuously variable transmission. It will make 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. The N Line model employs a turbocharged 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual. Owners of these versions will produce 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Every 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback uses a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. Owners will be able to choose between a CVT and a six-speed manual transmission. It will produce 168 horsepower.
